To climb the 214 Wainwright Fells

I've lived in the Western Lake District most of my life and walked and climbed on many a fell. Despite this I have not made made the summit of most. I have bagged a few Wainwrights over the years but not many. Most of my walks have been low level and / or around rivers and lakes.

I have started my quest to climb all 214 Wainwright Fells. This is the record of my journey.

Summit Selfies :)

I love the Summit Selfies, they are a very real record of achievement.

This post will be updated with the Wainwright Summit Selfies - I'll need to both remember to snap the non Wainwright summits and create another post to publish them.

I'm thinking of including the woolly hat from my first three summits in all my selfies but I am aware that this may look ridiculous in the summer months!

Wainwright #2; Blake Fell, Western Fells - 6 March 2016

Mothers Day.  Although I have 3 children my own mother died 11 years ago.  Mothers Day has been bitter sweet for me ever since.  This year I climbed a mountain before returning home to enjoy some quality time with the children.

The walk starts alongside Cogra Moss - it was looking stunning in the early morning sunshine.

I climbed that!

I'm no photographer and the only decent camera I owned was stolen a couple of years ago so I am back using my Panasonic Lumix 12mp point and shoot.

I also don't know my sky lines as yet so not sure what this picture is showing
I know my dog!  Shadow.  6 year old Black Lab I am looking to take on as walks with me as possible.
The cairn on my first summit!  Grike has 2 cairns.

 The other cairn
Some good winter walking over there
